Green thumber's: is their co e lation between strong plants and first seed the parent makes?

say early in the seed producing time they come out better then at the end of the plant seed producing time cycle?Green thumber's: is their co e lation between strong plants and first seed the parent makes?
OK - I think I know what your gett'n at. Does the first seed produced by a plant give rise to a better plant than those from seeds that mature later ? Maybe yes, maybe no, but those first seeds would tend to produce plants that matured earlier. Before hybridizing and gene splicing were the norm, this was a common practice to improve plant varieties. correlation

Not really. Parent plants produce seeds. All of the seeds produced will be viable and grow with the same traits.
Not sure what you mean (?)

Are you asking if there is a difference when planting a seed at the beginning of the season versus planting a seed at the end of the season ??

Or...Are you asking if a produce, say for example, a tomato, is better at the beginning of the season than at the end of a harvest(?)
