How would you rate god as a parent?

Ignoring the actual existence of God for a moment, considering BOTH the Old Testament and the New Testament, what kind of parent is God?

Don't just give him a number from 1 to 10. Back it up with specific references to various acts and attributes on his partHow would you rate god as a parent?
God is a horrible parent first he kicks Adam and Eve out of the Graden of Eden for disboeying him. If you were to kick your child out of the house and leave them to fend for themselves for disobeying you then you might go to jail for child abandonment, i know your neighbors would have bad things to say about you. Then he is displeased with the world he created so he kills off all life in the great flood sounds similar to these women who can't take parenthood anymore and kill their babies. How would you rate god as a parent?
Well i think that he was a terrible parent. Take the Noah story for example, no parent drowns their children because they don't listen. Also the story of Jesus' crucifixion, what kind of parent really wants their child to be murdered by his other children.
10000with 4000 zeros

What parent wakes you up in the morning? EVERYDAY?

What parent loved you before you were even thought of?

What parent sacrificed his son for the evils of the earth?

Atheist don't answer this unless you believe in God.Only people who believe in God should answer this.
What parent has the cure for all maladies and withholds it? EVERYDAY?

What parent is completely absent for your entire childhood?

What parent sacrifices his son and makes demands for that sacrifice?

What parent lets the most evil thing on the planet roam free?

What parent codes humans for sex and then makes it sinful?

What parent doesn't show themselves and then sends their children to eternal torment when they don't believe he exists (fundamentalist interpretation)?

Fine parenting indeed.
0. I think that he would be a pretty bad parent considering he allowed children to be stoned for no apparent reason or a stupid reason in many cases. Also, if his child were gay or an atheist or had sex then he would just damn them to Hell. What kind of a parent is that? Someone who is caring but at the cost of your absolute obedience? How absurd.
Horrible.

Abusive, manipulative, and sadistic. Based on his past actions in both the OT and NT as well has the portrayal of him as a god and the concept of hell...
His first earthly son and daughter were Adamand Eve. He created them gave them everything to eat they needed and they lived in a paradise. They lacked nothing. He wanted everything perfetfor them just as we want the same for our children.

He is a wonderful Father to us he has given us this beautiful earth to live on with plenty of food water and all that we need.It is not his fault that man is destroying and misusing all the good things he gives,He is a perfect Father, (Revelation 11:18) But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time for the dead to be judged, and to give [their] reward to your slaves the prophets and to the holy ones and to those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”
If God was na actual parent, I'd be calling social services on them.

God is a very lousy parenting example, and should be charges with abandonment and abuse.
A parent who beats you up in the OT, then says he loves you in the NT, but also says you'll go to hell if you don't love him back.
Seriously, dude...Why does Jesus have to DIE for our sins?

If you ask me, Jesus dying on the cross was like God's silent way of saying ';Look at what I convinced this man to do; I can make each and everyone of you sinners do this to each other until you all die and go to hell'; .

Did he really HAVE to die? ';God loved us so much that he sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins'; blah blah blah.

That's like saying to your kid ';So-and-so, I want you to do very well in school, so I made your older brother kill himself for getting an F on a quiz. I did it because I loved him, and I love you too, so-and-so. Remember what he did for you.';
The kids long ago would have been taken by CPS.

i don't know, i mean, how must it feel to have a father who's omnipresent but never there for you? seriously.
like the abusive father who wants to make up when the child is in their thirties, and gets pissed off when he's rejected.
You would be better off asking a first grader how he would rate his Principal.
10 out of 10,

because He doesn't give in and give us things we ask for if they are not good for us.
