My friends parents are going to divorce, she really wants to live with her mom but doesn't know the age that she can choose who she will live with. Her internet is down...so yahh.What is the age where a child can choose what parent it wants to live with?
i looked it up and it said age 14. so if she is 14 she can talk to the judge directly and tell him/her where she wants to live. i did this but in texas the law was 11. the judge will ask her LOTS of questions so be prepared to answer for about a good 30minutes. most judges %26amp; child services require the child to be 13 years old but their maturity is taken into account at age 11 or 12 sometimes plus it depends on each states laws
